Liturgical Ministries
Step into the heart of OLC, a community where liturgy thrives through the dedicated service of our parishioners. Eucharistic Ministers share the presence of Christ through the distribution of the Eucharist, while Lectors bring the Word of God to life. Greeters embody hospitality, setting the tone for a warm and inclusive experience, and Ushers ensure the seamless flow of the Mass.
Together, these ministries form the backbone of our parish life, contributing to the vibrant and Christ-centered community that defines OLC.
Pierogi Making
Here at OLC one of our most important ministries is our Pierogi Making ministry. Usually throughout the year we meet on Mondays at 7:00 AM to spend time preparing the pierogi and then we sell them from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The money raised from this ministry goes to support the church. We hope you consider joining us for some fun while supporting our parish as well.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
We craft shawls for others with devoted hands and prayerful hearts. These shawls are given to anyone in need of hope, strength, healing, joy, comfort or peace. Anyone can bring their knitting and crocheting to the rectory conference room on Wednesday from 1 PM to 2:30 PM. As we work on our shawls and “lap robes”, we pray, chat and bless our projects.

If you have any questions or know of someone who is in need of extra prayers, please contact the Main Office at 716-692-2660
Liturgical Environment
and Gardening Angels
The purpose of “Liturgical Environment” is to see to the care and maintenance of the church interior. They perform a variety of cleaning jobs, such as dust pews and statues, water plants and fill holy water fonts, to maintain the sanctuary and the church to create a clean and welcoming environment for church members and guests. They also help decorate for special holidays. We meet every Friday morning at 9AM in the church.

Gardening Angel's mission is to design, plant and nurture the flowerbeds surrounding all of the buildings and in the Grotto. God sends us the sunshine, rain and blesses the work of our hands. Our volunteers meet outside church on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10AM to Noon during the spring, summer and early fall. Please join us occasionally or weekly. We appreciate all the help we can get.
